Melita Garza, associate professor and Tom and June Netzel Sleeman Scholar in Business Journalism, was quoted in a New York Times article about Carlos Espina鈥檚 social media influence in the Latino community regarding political and immigrant issues in the United States.
Garza said Latinos are tuning in less to legacy Spanish-language television networks like Telemundo and Univision and turning more to social media for news.
